If I buy the Bell Palm Pre outright, can I use that as a pay as you go

plan with Bell Canada? i want to bell the palm pre outright, without a contract but if i do, how do i use it without a contract?

do i have to buy a pay as you go talk card for bell?

I've never been a bell customer, but if you buy it outright... i guess you could use their pay as you go or purchase a monthly package..
