It's now out!! available to only users running on sprint and bell atm, sorry gsm fans!
So, I'm downloading it now, and I am not removing any patches or homebrew work beforehand, so I will let you all know if I run into any problems doing so, in case any of you out there are worried about doing so.

Its reported no speed updates, most changes are a new facebook app, a new way to track through your songs in media player, flash placeholders in the browser, (its coming early 2010 apparently). Also some apparent minor bug fixes are rumoured, though i havent looked into it, and they'll be adding default program options! preferred phone app, messaging app, multimedia app, gps app. We can expect to see a lot more apps with cool features and much better google voice integration.

Oh, i forgot about yahoo! synergy, still no msn or skype, but custom ringtones for text message notifications is now supported by the OS.

it appears as though the update was considered "unnapproved" in some way, and the updater told me i should wait 2 or 3 days before trying again. What is this all about?

yeah a few more... i hate webos... i love the hardware of the pre though. the gummy buttons, vertical slide, touch screen everything owns... just wish it had a more stable OS. TOO much like linux :P

I get it on my phone. I have iPhone 3GS and done a lot with him...but Palm pre drives me crazy.
I am from Europe and i have Sprint Palm pre,can't manage to get gprs/3G to work(use wifi at home) can't get app catalogue to work always get NOT Available message. What to do?
With this new os version i get yahoo messenger but can't conect to it!!!!
It runs faster (much) not as 3GS but it is now fast enought.
CAN U HELP ME TO SETUP MY PRE?

i dont understand... but sorry i can't help you. I'm working on something with the pre anyway. I'm having trouble trying to get all the latest patches on here again, like i did before on 1.2. 1.3.1 feels like a headache to me, and the facebook app SUCKS friendsflow is 10 times better for functionality, and 1.3.1 just seems to fight against any patching I try... took a while just to get "pkg manager" working, when i dont even remember worrying about it before...

Does anybody knows how to set up/customize gprs/edge/3G settings???
I did install most of the patches which i need via webosquickinstall.
Can you set up yahoo messenger to work? Gtalk and aAim is working but yahoo doesn't.

yahoo messenger = ur SOL i havent heard of it working for anyone. i don't even see a yahoo! icon...

It should be done on Phone>Preferences>Network data-manual setting but it doesn't want to write APN settings

I have yahoo messenger option with new 1.3.1
on Messages>Preferences&Accounts>Ad IM account

oh ok, the hash codes was a shot in the dark. I dont have a lot of spare time anymore to look TOO in depth on these things, but i try. Yeah, i dunno, i dont see it there. at all. nothing. just aol and gtalk, but its ok, cause i only use msn neway, its what i am waiting for.... very patiently...
