I don't know guys. they Iphone 3G S has just been announced today, and man it seems like big upgrade from the last model.

It seems like a pretty good upgrade.. lots of new applications this can be used for...

auto focus cam for reading bar codes... that should be nice.. its been pretty good on the g1

yeah the Auto focus and higher resolution. That is nice and also the added voice controls, and sideways text finally.

Well we shall see what happens

In theory it seems that the video part of the Camera.app that is gonna be on the iPhone 3G [S] *could* run on the iPhone 3G model. People were able to install the iPhone apps (Mail, Maps, Etc) on the iPod Touch when it was first hacked so what do you think?

Can someone explain to me why the manufactures dont just release great devices to the public, and let us decide where we want to go? And that being said, have the carriers persue us with the "best" network coverage, voice/data/messaging packages, and prices? We would ultimately see them cut each others throats, and we would be the winner....as it should be ( the ones that provide the revenues they desire!?!

In other countries thats exactly how it functions. You go to a huge store buy a model phone you like and activate it on the network that you feel is best for you.

Then we should begin to demand that as well, I get pissed when someone tells me NO. If I want a "toy" I want to play with it anywhere I want.

Over here they release devices with features incrementally added even though they have the technology, they will slowly add it. With one new feature every year.... like how the iphone does it. Even though they always were able to do mms/copy paste/record video they do not release it right away. Keeps us buying stuff every year.

IPhones really are the attractive ones above all cell phones. According to me they are the best and most attractive cell phones ever comes and the regular updations gives them e heavy weightage among all cell phones and people like to buy and use regular of it. Great really great cell phones.
